WHAT IS MARRY ME CHICKEN?
The name refers to how well the ingredients “marry” together into a cohesive, irresistible dish. Its flavor profile is similar to Tuscan-style chicken — both feature a creamy sun-dried tomato sauce and Parmesan — making Marry Me Chicken suitable for both weeknight dinners and special occasions. Variations include swapping chicken for salmon for a Marry Me Salmon version.
INGREDIENTS
This recipe uses straightforward ingredients, but you can adapt them to suit your tastes. Spinach is optional in this version; sliced mushrooms also work well if you prefer.

- Chicken breasts – Boneless, skinless breasts are used; boneless skinless thighs are an alternative.
- Red pepper flakes – Optional, for a gentle kick.
- Sun-dried tomatoes – Rehydrated or jarred tomatoes work; plump, juicy tomatoes give the best result.
- Stock – Chicken broth is preferred, though vegetable stock or some of the tomato rehydration liquid can be used for extra flavor.
- Butter – Adds richness to the sauce; you can substitute olive oil if desired.
HOW TO MAKE MARRY ME CHICKEN
This is an easy, fast keto chicken recipe that’s ideal for meal planning. Use a large oven-safe skillet or any oven-proof pan.

Cook garlic in butter until fragrant.

Season and sear the chicken breasts until golden.

Add stock, cream and herbs, then stir in sun-dried tomatoes and optional spinach.

Return the chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over, and bake 15–20 minutes until cooked through.
KETO MARRY ME CHICKEN TIPS
- Flatten chicken breasts or use cutlets for faster, even cooking.
- Coat the chicken lightly in low-carb flour like almond flour or oat fiber before searing for a golden crust.
- Use heavy cream in the sauce for the right texture; single cream won’t thicken the same way.
- If you like, deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine after cooking the garlic and before adding the stock.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan or Parmigiano-Reggiano for the best flavor.
WHAT TO SERVE MARRY ME CHICKEN WITH
The dish is delicious on its own, but for a heartier plate serve it with low-carb pasta or noodles such as zucchini noodles. It also pairs well with roasted or steamed vegetables.
Suggested sides include garlic roasted broccoli, baked asparagus fries, celeriac mash, or chaffle garlic breadsticks for a low-carb accompaniment.
STORAGE
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and enjoy within one to two days. Reheat gently in the oven or microwave. This dish does not freeze well because the cream sauce can separate when thawed and reheated.
