Forget store-bought chocolate sauces—this is the only chocolate sauce recipe you’ll ever need. It uses simple ingredients, cooks in one pot, takes about 10 minutes, and tastes far better than any jarred alternative.

A quick personal note: I’ve only bought chocolate sauce a couple of times in my life. I rarely top my ice cream with it and whenever a recipe called for chocolate sauce I would simply melt a few ingredients together on the stove. After years of improvising, I finally developed a clear, reliable recipe that delivers a rich, chocolatey sauce every time. I think you’ll love how easy and versatile it is.

When I was a child I remember tasting commercial chocolate sauce and being disappointed by its weak cocoa flavor and artificial aftertaste. That memory pushed me to create a homemade version that actually tastes of real chocolate and has a smooth, satisfying texture. This recipe is simple, quick, and customizable to your preference.
